The BC Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) is a family support organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for people affected by schizophrenia and psychosis, through education, support programs, research and public policy.
Our vision is to find a cure, eliminate discrimination, and help families to access appropriate treatment and services.
BCSS is a not-for-profit family support organization founded in 1982 by families and friends of people with schizophrenia. Since then, it has grown into a province-wide family support system with 28 branches, 13 Regional Coordinators, 7 Program Coordinators and over 1000 members.
